Dear brothers, My essays and magazines seemed to be nothing, so I have decided to join the army. Slavery must be abolished, what the south is doing to the negros, our brothers is wrong and must be stopped. No need to be worried about me, for I know god will guide me on this dangerous journey.    Dear Mom,    I have been working with our regiment to help bring the Confederate States back into the union. Mom, I hope that we can give the blacks the rights that they once had. General Lee surrendered at the battle of Appomattox  courthouse. Thanks, mom for supporting me through the battles and the though times.

Dearest Auntie All is well on the southern front, not a lot has been happening at my post and moral is very low at the moment. The other soldiers have started putting on little plays in their free time. Most of the story’s are quite interesting and a good way to pass the time. I have made many friends and have gotten to know my captain, Bruce Stanton. He is a fine man of military intelligence and leadership, he also figured out my identity but has sworn to keep my secret.
